I have a feeling we'll be making lots of things with wood. We recently purchased a little A-frame cabin on Lake McConaughy in Nebraska and we inherited quite a wood pile. In fact, we've been growing the wood pile since there are quite a few dead trees and overgrown bushes on the lot.
We didn't plan it, but in mid-December when we went to the cabin to celebrate Christmas with my kids, we started crafting with the wood. I say "we" because I enlisted my handy husband, Mark. I like to conceive the ideas and show him what I need!
It took less than an hour to construct our version of a woodsy "Rudolph." I'm sure better tools could have shaved off 10 minutes or more. Maybe next year we'll build a whole team of reindeer!
